Knowledge about the Process

Elkhorn Roofing will assess the damage and develop a plan that caters to each individual client. Once proposal is
signed an estimated start date will be given. Roof will be replaced efficiently and professionally. Last, Project manager
will do a quality control inspection after each phase of the claim. Elkhorn Roofing promises you can expect the best
quality in the industry.

Insurance Claims FAQ

Elkhorn Roofing gives free roof inspections. A trained representative can inspect your property before a claim is
filed. We are here to provide you with a professional opinion to assure you of the damage that may or may not be
so that your current low deductibles remain the same.

PROCESS:

 

1. Call your local Elkhorn Roofing.

2. Have us determine if property was damaged: Does damage exceed your deductible? If not, it’s ideal to not turn in a claim.

3. If damage does exceed your deductible: Contact your agent and file a claim. Schedule a time when adjuster  AND ELKHORN ROOFING can meet with all parties.

4. When client, insurance company and contractor come to agreement on the cost of repairs the next step is to determine availability, expectations and payment terms.

5. Then it’s time to schedule and install: each project varies on timing, size and details.

6. Once completed, Elkhorn Roofing will send Certificate of Completion to the insurance company for RCV payment.

Common Roofing Questions:

Will this be a construction zone?

Yes. Roofing debris will be falling around the property and may enter a neighbor’s property as well. All roofing debris will be cleaned and inspected after the roof is fully complete. Please make sure that pictures and other items are off the walls and placed in a safe location. No kids should be playing outside in construction zone until fully cleaned.

Do you work with insurance companies?

YES….We are diversified in all aspects of the insurance process. Elkhorn Roofing uses the same software insurance companies use.

Do you accept credit cards?

YES….you can pay with credit card. A 3.5% service fee will be added.

Are you licensed, insured, and bonded?

Yes we are licensed, fully insured including workmen’s compensation and bonded.

How long will take to do my roof?

On average it takes 1-3 days depending on scope of work. Pitch and size are main factors.

INSURANCE LINGO:

 

ACV (Actual Cash Value): ACV is a method of valuing
insured property, or the value computed by that
method. ACV is not equal to replacement cost value
(RCV). ACV is computed by subtracting depreciation
from replacement cost.

RCV (Replacement Cost Value): Is the amount of
money that it would cost to replace the project before
the damage occurred.

DEPRECIATION: The deduction based on the age and
useful life of that item(s).
